A Nassau stop can be a relaxed beach day or a sightseeing adventure. Choose one main priority and leave enough time to enjoy it without rushing back to your cruise ship.

Start with your port schedule

Check arrival time, all-aboard time and instructions about ship time. Save your excursion meeting location and emergency contact details. Your planning window is shorter than the full time the ship is in port.

Choose a day that fits your group

Compare a beach outing, guided sightseeing or an organized resort visit. Consider walking distances, heat, mobility needs, children’s ages and what is included. A resort excursion does not automatically include every attraction, meal or facility.

Read the excursion details

Confirm transportation, admission, equipment, minimum ages and cancellation terms before paying. For independent plans, check travel time both ways and allow a generous return buffer. Verify current operating hours rather than relying on an old itinerary.

Budget for the extras

Allow for meals, transportation, rentals and souvenirs. Keep valuables secure and follow the ship’s current guidance for identification and required documents ashore.

Enjoy a simpler day

One well-chosen experience often makes a better port day than trying to fit in a beach, shopping, sightseeing and a resort visit.
